Advisory / LEAD

Advisory

Students are assigned an advisor as a freshman or as a new student and will remain with that advisor throughout high school.  Students meet with their advisor daily for 15 minutes. Once a week, students engage with a social-emotional curriculum through Advisory.  This curriculum adopted by the Oldham County Board of Education is called Character Strong (click).  Students also join "Class of ??" Google Classoom where there are many resources and information directly from the counseling office. 

LEAD

Students have the flexibility during LEAD time to choose how they spend a 35 minute time period.  Options include intervention, re-teaching, clubs, activities, work spaces, test/quiz retakes, enrichment, etc. Students schedule this time through an online platform called Enriching Students.
