Students should select courses with great care. This would include reading course descriptions, meeting prerequisites, talking to teachers, parents, and other students. Counselors will meet with each grade level during the months of February and March each year to explain the scheduling procedure and to answer questions specific to each grade and each student. Placement in core classes is based upon teacher recommendations, final grades, and assessment scores. In addition, there is a Special Scheduling Consideration Request Form (click) that students/parents can complete to make their counselor aware of other concerns regarding their schedule. Any questions/concerns regarding the scheduling process or course selection should be directed to the high school counselor.
