Library Mission Statement
The Oldham County High School Library exists to provide books and other informational resources, including electronic and multimedia, to meet the informational needs, interests, and enlightenment of students, staff, and the community. The Library aspires to teach students to be critical thinkers, encourage students to be enthusiastic readers, and to instruct students to be skillful and ethical consumers and creators of information.
Library Vision Statement
The Oldham County High School Library seeks to create a 21st Century learning environment with equitable access to all students, staff, and community members. The library seeks to create a safe, open, and inviting library learning commons fundamental to student achievement and citizenship in an interconnected world, while supporting the principles of academic and intellectual freedom.
Material Selection and Reconsideration
The Oldham County High School Library's objective is to make available to faculty and students a diverse collection that will enrich and support the curriculum, promote personal reading preferences, provide presentation of different viewpoints, and meet the needs of the students and faculty served.
